The Founders of Physics Undergraduate Bursary


Established to recognize the contributions of the founding members of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Available to a full time student in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of a Physics or Biomedical Physics program.

The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory Commemorative Bursary


Established by the Department of Physics and Astronomy with the proceeds of a lecture presentation by Stephen Hawking at the official opening of the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory in 1998. Available to a full time student in good academic standing entering any year of a physics or biomedical physics program.

Dr. Tuan Ton-That Memorial Bursaries       


Established to honour Tuan Ton-That by his family and friends. The “Dr. Tuan Ton-That Memorial Bursaries” are awarded annually to one full time student in each of the following programs; Economics, Commerce, and Music or Physics. Bilingualism in French and English is a plus but not a requirement. The student must demonstrate financial need, and Ontario residency, as defined by OSAP.

Florian Robillard Memorial Awards
(In-course award)


Given to the student with highest academic standing in each of 2nd 3rd and 4th year of a physics or biomedical physics program, these $100 awards are from contributions in memory of a founding member of the Physics Department, Dr. Florian Robillard s.j.

The Walker Wood Foundation Scholarship  
(Radiation Therapy Program)


Established to
provide financial assistance to full-time Canadian students enrolled in the Radiation Therapy program and maintaining a 70% average over all courses.  Applicants must be residents of Northern Ontario, graduated from a Northern Ontario high school, and are required to submit a one page (double-spaced) personal profile including information regarding their notable achievements, reason for studying in this program, additional interests, and future aspirations.  Selection will be based on academic excellence and financial need.
