What Can I Do With A Degree In E-Business?



The Electronic Business Program affords the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Commerce and Computer Science, and students will graduate with a four year Honors Bachelor degree reflecting each.  The program gives exposure and experience with industry projects, a paid third year internship, and the option to complete an MBA in one additional year.  Students may take advantage of Laurentian’s SAP University Alliance to gain sought after skills and increase marketability.&nbsPlease see the department link below for further details on the eBusiness program and course descriptions.

Areas of employment

Ebusiness graduates qualify for employment in areas related to computer science and commerce.  In Canada, those with a preference for computer science can expect employment as computer and information systems professionals.  Those with a preference for commerce are most likely to find a career as an auditor, accountant or investment professional.   Others find work in areas such as human resources, sales, and administration.

Work prospects

Laurentian eBusiness Science graduates have a 100% employment rate within six months of graduation.  In Canada the average yearly earnings for those with a Commerce and Computer Science related degree varies from an average of $42,000 to $50,000.  However pay varies greatly with location, specialization, and level of experience. Approximately 90% of graduates claim job satisfaction, while 84% would choose to make the same educational choice again.   

Competition among new graduates is expected to be average with the majority of competition coming from other graduates in Economics, and Business Administration.
